Why we believe

Why we believe

Take your life, right now, as it stands. What does it add up to? What is it all for? You make the best you can with the things you have and the relationships you’ve built and nurture, but deep down we all search for the ultimate meaning of life. To be assured of your value over and above what someone else thinks of you is pretty difficult to equate.

One fact stands.  In Jesus Christ we are all loved very dearly.

I can say this with absolute conviction because I know He loves me. This may be bold to claim but one day, a long time ago, I called out to God with a cry so needful to know the answers that He began to open my eyes to the truth about Jesus Christ. My search took me to the Bible, my heart took me to a knowledge of God.

And the best bit?

A life with God isn’t exclusive to the few!

Why we believe as we do is because we have seen His blessing, began to understand the Bible, and have found a true and real relationship with God — and it’s that simple! Many people see Christians as soft or weak people, but our hope is not in this world, our measure does not equate to what others think — our joy is in the knowledge of God’s love, and our gain is heaven. We don’t need to be tough, we don’t need to accepted by the world. God accepts us as we are – as sinners, as wrong doers – but that is why he gave us Jesus so that we can be forgiven — and yes, He is waiting to accept you too, if you look to Jesus and ask Him to renew your life.

There are people behind the scenes here ready and willing to chat with you about why Christians believe. They’re not Bible bashers, but they will quote the Bible – it is the Living Word after all.  If we found the truth through the Bible, then it’s the book to use to show you the same.
