‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.’ Psalm 119:105 (NIV) —
Your word?
What does that mean to you?
Someone gives you their word, do you trust that statement?
We have all been let down by people, even friends and family. Some give their word and moments later it means nothing, but with God, His word means what it says, He is faithful, His is reliable.
Light? Did you know we cannot survive long without light? All around us needs light, plants, animals etc, without it we would not live as we do. Have you ever considered what it would be like if electric disappeared? So much of what we do would cease, but it provides so much of our light! Winter would seem forever without some kind of artificial power.
In the above scripture it say’s “Your WORD is a lamp to my feet and a LIGHT for my path”
God gives His word, the Bible is once instance of this, and when we study it, He shows us how to live, with the least amount of stress and problems, we surely need that dont you agree?
His light shines constantly, so we can see the right path, He shines to our feet, so we can trust we will not trip or stumble, in other words we can trust in Him.
